Sustainable Ethical Financial Planner of the Year Winner

The Money Management Financial Planner Awards 2018 resulted with a first for Investing Ethically.

Lisa Hardman one of our chartered financial planners was recognised as the winner of the Sustainable Ethical Financial Planner Category.  These annual awards have long recognised the very best of the advice profession.

To be eligible for the award candidates had to submit a piece of redacted client work. Advisers were judged on the work they do day in, day out and we were asked to submit a client report that best showcased our efforts in this specific area of financial planning.  Along with the entry, we were allowed to provide up to 300 words to describe how the work fits the criteria.

Those shortlisted were then invited to be interviewed prior to the award ceremony at a face-to-face judging session to answer questions on a wider case study in relation to ethical financial advice.

Phil and Lisa attended the ceremony and we are all very proud that Lisa not only was shortlisted but won this prestigious award.

Lisa is delighted to have won this award. She comments ‘It has been a real team effort which is how we like to work! Although we are ethical investment specialists, we are first and foremost financial planners and this award is in recognition of this.  Winning it is a validation of our skills and quality as financial advisers and clients find it very reassuring.

Taking account of your values when you invest your capital is becoming far more prevalent and what was once considered an ethical issue, such as climate change, is now an investment issue. Financial advisers need to be able to understand and advise clients in this area and Awards such as the Money Management Financial Planner Awards encourage this development and help build professionalism and set benchmarks.’
